The stamped piece was added to cardstock and patterned paper background with dimensional tape also. The sentiment from the Sweet Occasions Sentiments set was stamped onto a tab shape and I also added a banner cut with a Reverse Confetti die.

I Prayed for You Today {Color Throwdown #347}

I'm back with my last  project as June Guest Designer for the Color Throwdown Challenge. This week's challenge colors are blue, yellow and red.

I turned to my beloved Verve stamps this week, stamping the sailboat from the Learning to Sail set onto a tag cut with a die from the WPlus9 Timeless Tags 2 set. After coloring the image with Copic Markers I added a sentiment from the Faith Medley set and threaded blue and white bakers twine though the tag hole. I combined the tag with a Pebbles instant camera diecut which I backed with Lily Bee patterned paper. A scattering of enamel dots finished it up. I really embraced the white space with this one!

Products: Verve stamps, Lily Bee dp, Pebbles diecut, Doodlebug enamel dots, WPlus9 die, Copic Markers
Copics: Y0000, Y11, Y13, Y35, R22, R24, R29, B21, B23, B26

Bursting with Pride {Purple Onion Designs}

Today's card features stamps from Purple Onion Designs.

I have another card featuring two more images from the new Stacey Yacula Sweet Occasions collection. I stamped the Fireworks image onto a solid piece of patterned paper using Ranger Archival Veridian ink and then added a cutout with the Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #8. After attaching a patterned paper background onto the card base, the stamped and cutout piece was placed on the cardbase using foam tape. Before stamping Bursting with Pride onto Copics X-Press It cardstock, I masked off the smaller bear. After coloring with Copic Markers, I fussy cut out. I stamped the flag portion onto solid patterned paper and then added a punched heart in the center. The image was then placed over the cutout. The sentiment from the Sweet Occasions Sentiment set was stamped sentiment onto a piece cut with a Stampin' Up punch.

God Bless {Color Throwdown CTD346}

I'm back with another project as June Guest Designer for the Color Throwdown Challenge. This week's challenge colors are hot pink, green, gray and kraft.

I was inspired by these colors from nature and started out preparing the background panel by smooshing some watercolors in a random manner onto Ranger Water color paper using Ranger Distress Pickled Raspberry ink. I paired it up with a small strip of kraft cardstock cut with a die from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 15 set for a skinny border. I cut the tag from Soft Stone patterned paper using the Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #10 die, topping it with some hot pink ribbon. I stamped the image from the Papertrey Ink Bitty Bouquets stamp set with Rose Bud and Bamboo Leaves inks and then cut out with the matching Bitty Bouquet dies. The sentiment from the Verve Faith Medley set was stamped with kraft ink onto a double-ended fishtail banner cut from kraft cardstock. I spread the phrase out so that when I attached the floral bouquet to the tag with dimensional tape I could place the stem portion between the words. A few sequins finished it up.

{The Cat's Pajamas} Color Challenge

It's time for another TCP Tuesday at The Cat's Pajamas and our newest kitty cat Deborah is our hostess for this rotation with a color challenge. The challenge runs for two weeks and The Cat’s Pajamas stamps are not required. See full details at the end of this post.

I used the watercolor on acetate smooshing technique using three different colors of Distress inks, Salty Ocean, Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw along with MFT Sour Apple onto Ranger Watercolor paper. After it was dry, I cut a portion of it and stamped the branch from the Nesting set onto it using Dark Chocolate ink. I also stamped the nest from the same set onto Neenah white cardstock and then fussy cut out, adding a bit of the yellow and green inks onto to it. The eggs were colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out and adhered to the nest. I cut the frame from white cardstock using Stitched Fly die twice, glued them together and then layered it onto the watercolor piece. After adhering the nest with foam tape,  the bird from Take Flight set was stamped with Blue Danube and then again with Berrylicous inks and cut out with the matching die from the Bird Friends set. I softened up the yellow patterned paper background with torn vellum and then attached the image piece to it.

Blossom No. 2 and Daisy {Purple Onion Designs}

Today's card features stamps from Purple Onion Designs.

Do you love the new Stacey Yacula Sweet Occasions Collection as much as I do? These sweet images make me smile. You know, a smile that starts slowly on the inside and then breaks out on your face.

This project was featured in the Purple Onion Designs newsletter but not here nor do I think it's been on the POD blog yet. Blossom No. 2 was stamped onto a circle cut with a MFT pierced die and then colored the flowers with Copic Markers to represent Shasta Daisies. I stamped Daisy separately, colored with Copics and then fussy cut out, attaching with dimensional dots. The image was matted onto a patterned paper cut with a Reverse Confetti die. The Sun was stamped onto a smaller scallop from the same Reverse Confetti set, Both pieces were attached to the background panel with foam tape.

Products: Purple Onion Designs dp, Lawn Fawn dp, PTI cs, MFT and Reverse Confetti dies, Copic Markers

No Place Like Home {The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday Anything Goes Challenge}

I have a second project for the TCP Tuesday Anything Goes challenge. If you were one of the attendees at the  pre-release Facebook Pajama Party in May you may have seen this card there.

This one could not have been easier. I used one of the dies from the Birdhouses set to create my birdhouse and used the Heart Twirl to create a "branch" for it to sit on. I stamped the sentiment from the Take Flight set directly onto the card base using Simon Says Chocolate Brown ink. All the patterned paper came from the Pebbles Family Ties pad.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas Stamp and Dies, Pebbles dp, PTI cs, Simon Says ink

There is plenty of time to get your project in for the challenge. You could win some Cat Cash towards some fun The Cat's Pajamas stamps and dies. And, your creation puts you in the running for Swanky Stamper! Link up your project here.

Psalm 46:1 {Color Throwdown #345}

It's my honor to be the June Guest Designer for the Color Throwdown Challenge. This week's challenge colors are black, white, green and red.

Even though this card is clean and simple, I managed to use a lot of different products on it. I stamped the verse from the Verve Scripture Medley 2 set onto a Reverse Confetti Quick Panel card using Simon Says Black ink. I cut the frame using The Cat's Pajamas Stitched Fly die from black cardstock and then cut out the word fly just leaving the frame portion. After trimming the stamped card I layered the frame onto it. The bird from The Cat's Pajamas Take Flight set was stamped with Strawberry Slush ink and then cut out with the matching die from the Bird Friends set.  I cut the branch from patterned paper using the Taylored Expressions Leafy Branch die and placed the bird on it using dimensional dots. After cutting a background panel using a Lil Inker Designs Stitched Rectangle and attached the image panel to it, I cut a banner  using one of the The Cat's Pajamas Bitty Banners and then slipped it underneath the panel so that only the top showed as a tab. Small red rhinestones were added for an additional dash of red.

Products: The Cat's Pajamas stamp and dies, Verve stamp, Reverse Confetti Quick Card Panel, PTI and Bazzill cs, Oriental Trading Co. rhinestones, Taylored Expressions and Lil Inker Designs dies, Simon Says and Stampin' Up inks
